Job Description

The Opportunity:

A Research Assistant is required to provide expertise for the Principal’s Teaching Award Scheme (PTAS) research project ‘Beyond the dissertation: informing best practice guidance for diversified, taught, final year MSc curricula through scoping review, qualitative research and co-creation’.

This post is part-time (8 hours per week) and fixed term for 9 months. We are open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.   

The salary for this role is at Grade UE06: £34,132 - £39,355 per annum pro-rata as part-time.

Your skills and attributes for success: 

  • A postgraduate qualification in a field relevant to education and/or involving qualitative research data.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of scoping reviews, focus group and co-creation methods.
  • Experience of evaluating and synthesising research findings.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and presentation skills.

About the Team
