The research assistant will gain hands-on experience in qualitative and patient-centered outcomes research and will play an active role in multiple aspects of the study, including:

• Conducting participant interviews at community eye screening events held in settings such as free clinics, food pantries, and community centers
• Leading approximately 30 free-listing activities with screening participants
• Conducting follow-up semi-structured interviews to further explore participant responses
• Assisting with the development and refinement of a patient-centered survey instrument
• Helping to pilot and administer the survey at future screening events
• Assisting with analysis of free-listing data, including term consolidation and data entry into analysis software
• Contributing to qualitative interview coding and interpretation
• Supporting analysis of survey acceptability and feasibility outcomes

Research Assistant will also gain exposure to the field of ophthalmology and community-based eye care, participate directly in screening events, and develop experience in patient-centered outcomes research.

Possible weekend/evenings required.
