Job Description:

Summary:

The Research & Teaching Assistant student position will work closely with a professor to contribute to research activities. The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for education and research.

Essential Functions:

1. Research Assistance
   • Collaborate with the professor on ongoing research projects.
   • Manage DC urban tree canopy validation project.
   • Act as validation point tie breaker using Google Earth imagery.
2. Administrative Tasks
   • Manage volunteers from Hola Cultura and elsewhere.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• Part-Time.
• Student.
• 10 hours per week.

Salary Range:

• $17.95 per hour.

Required Education and Experience:

• Experience validating imagery using Google Earth workflows.
