Research Associate (Fixed Term)

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 6 years in the first instance.

A Post-Doctoral Research Associate position is available in the group of Professor Sir David Klenerman, in the Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry from October 2025.

This is a collaborative project with Professor Clare Bryant in Clinical Medicine and aims to image and characterise the signalling complexes formed in macrophage following the triggering of Toll-like receptors by a range of different agonists.

Candidates should have (or be about to obtain) a PhD in biophysics or chemistry and experience of working with macrophage, innate immunity and single molecule imaging in cells is essential.

Appointment at the Research Associate level is dependent on the award of a PhD. Those who have submitted but not yet received their PhD will be appointed at the Research Assistant level, which will be amended to Research Associate once the award of the PhD has been confirmed.
