Key Duties:

  • As directed, performs the computational analysis of bulk and single-cell multiomic datasets; develops computational pipelines for the statistical analysis of high-throughput data involving gene expression, chromatin accessibility, epigenomic and proteomic data obtained from various transitional senescence states that are generated within the laboratory.
  • Maintains and updates the computational resources assigned to the laboratory within the University's high-performance computing clusters, including updating of core libraries and incorporation of new computational tools, as directed.
  • Assists post-doctoral and pre-doctoral staff within the laboratory with statistical analyses of experimental data.
  • Works closely with the PI in the development of analytical strategies to achieve the laboratory goals, including optimization of current algorithms used to determine transcription factor binding dynamics, pseudotiming analysis and integration of multimodal datasets.
  • Contribute to the development of performance standards, selection of methodology and instrumentation and coordination of the analytical, biochemical, physiology and instrumentation functions with the research areas to ensure conformance with the goals and objectives of the department.
  • Maintain accurate records of laboratory notebooks and research activity. Review literature and prepare manuscripts and abstracts for submission. Present findings at national meetings.
