- THE ROLE -

PEACETIME is a collaborative European-funded cross-border initiative aimed at tackling the adverse effects of obesity and its related chronic diseases on individuals, healthcare systems, and society. The project seeks to promote equitable access to care for individuals living with obesity through an innovative integrated clinical service delivered within primary care and community settings across Donegal and Derry~Londonderry. Specifically, the new programme will involve the delivery of a combination of nutrition, psychological, physical activity and pharmacological therapies using innovative health coaching methods supported by technology. A comprehensive evaluation of the new programme is planned along with a series of distinct, but interrelated, research sub-projects, which together will help generate novel insights into obesity management, shaping the future care of individuals with obesity.

This specific role will focus on supporting the evaluation of the digital platform used to deliver the clinical programme by examining engagement with the platform and obtaining qualitative and quantitative feedback from both patients and health professionals. Secondly, the role will involve facilitating the delivery of an innovative healthcare intervention, evaluating the use of digital technology in supporting compliance with the clinical programme.

- ABOUT YOU -

  • BSc or MSc in a discipline relevant to digital health science.
  • Relevant experience and/or training in conducting health research that involves human participants.
  • Relevant experience and competent in conducting health research that involves digital technology.
  • Relevant experience and competent in conducting qualitative research in a health context, including data analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively with a commercial entity in a research context.
  • Experience of writing scientific manuscripts and contributing to peer-reviewed publications.
