Role:
The Worboys lab is looking for an outstanding candidate to undertake research activities focused on understanding the molecular function of immune checkpoint receptors and their blockade. The candidate will have an extensive human immunology expertise, and have competence in a variety of techniques including primary cell culture, CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, imaging, flow cytometry and molecular biology.
The candidate would be expected to work alongside the PI to conceptualise and design experiments and to work towards the publication of their findings in high-impact journals. The candidate would also be expected to contribute to other projects ongoing in the lab, to work seamlessly as a team supporting other PDRAs, as well as postgraduate and undergraduate trainees. The candidate will also be required to engage positively with collaborators both within the institute and at external organisations.
The successful candidate would be expected to be curious, passionate, engaging and highly motivated. The post would be full time (1 FTE) for 3 years, with the possibility to extend.
