Organization Profile: IIT Hyderabad is one among the 2nd generation of IITs started by the Govt. of India. Today IITH offers 11 B.Tech programs, 1 B.Des Program, 3 M.Sc programs, 18 M.Tech programs, 1 M.Des program, 1 MA Program and 15 Ph.D. programs in all branches of engineering, science, liberal arts and design. IIT Hyderabad offers 2 years M.Tech Program to the foreign Nationals in 9 different departments. The very foundation of IIT Hyderabad is based on research and innovation. The vibrant research culture is evident from the number of patents and publications that IITH has.

Project Details: Institute Seed Grants Project in Dept. of Liberal Arts, IIT Hyderabad

Duration: Tenure: 3 months. The appointment will be on an ad hoc basis and can be terminated at any time during the contract period with one month’s notice from either side. The tenure for the Research Assistant may be extended to 5 months, depending on the fund availability.

Essential Qualification:

• Ph.D./M.Phil. /Post-graduate in Economics or allied areas with a minimum of 55% marks.
• Strong writing skills and the ability to analyze panel data.
• Knowledge of econometric software such as EViews and STATA is desirable.
• Expertise in public finance, with a specific focus on sub-national and local government finance.

Fellowship: Rs. 32,000 to 42,000 per month
