Research Associate
We have an opportunity for a Research Associate to make a leading contribution to the Centre for Regulation of the Creative Economy’s (CREATe) AHRC Infrastructure Award. Working with Professor Timothy Barker and Professor Philip Schlesinger, the position is designed to develop new work on the critical analysis of emerging technologies in society and culture, including issues relating to cultural preservation/cultural memory, and to relate this to regulatory issues in the creative industries.
We are seeking applicants able to work across disciplinary boundaries and to connect critical studies of technology and cultural creativity in the Arts and Humanities with key regulatory questions addressed by CREATe’s research agenda. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage this challenging project as opportunities allow.
Please note: As part of your cover letter, please add a section explaining clearly and concisely your proposed project and how it relates to, and extends, your existing work.
For informal enquiries, please contact Professor Tim Barker, Timothy.Barker@glasgow.ac.uk
This post is full time (35 hours per week) and is funded for up to 18 months from the start date (anticipated in early 2026).
