In this post you will be working for the National Consortium for Languages Education (NCLE), funded by the Department for Education (DfE), working with a consortium of stakeholders, including the Goethe-Institut and the British Council and a national network of schools across England, raising the profile of languages and strengthening language teaching and learning through evidence-based professional learning and supporting national priorities for languages. The role is available until 2nd March 2027 in the first instance.

With a completed PhD in languages education or a relevant discipline, you will have a track record of published research in leading scientific journals. In addition, you will have excellent written and verbal communication including documenting work and communicating technical and/ or scientific information to a wide range of scientific and lay audiences and experience and understanding of challenges faced in the UK school system.

Due to the nature of the post, DBS clearance will be required.
