plays a central role in the development and promotion of Earth Observation, contributing to the design, implementation, and scientific exploitation of numerous satellite missions. CESBIO is a Joint Research Unit bringing together the CNES, CNRS, IRD, INRAe and the University of Toulouse III – Paul Sabatier.
The passive radiometry group of the Physics of Remote Sensing team at CESBIO offers a research engineer position in machine learning applied to remote sensing. In particular, the candidate should develop statistical inversion algorithms for image reconstruction of micro-wave antennas arrays working in different acquisition modes such as interferometry for aperture synthesis or beamforming. The work will be done in collaboration with Centre Borelli (École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay) in the context of preparatory studies of the FRESCH (Fine Resolution Explorer for Salinity Carbon and Hydrology) satellite mission concept submitted to the European Space Agency (ESA) Earth Explorers program.
