Research Fellow in Catalysis and Reaction Engineering
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated researcher with strong intellectual and technical capabilities to join the Great British ChemicalsHub, a major national initiative aimed at decarbonizing UK industry. The platform is jointly funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) and brings together 10 leading UK universities and over 30 industrial partners.
At the University of Southampton, our team contributes expertise in reaction engineering and kinetic modelling for catalytic, photocatalytic, and sustainable chemical processes, supporting the translation of innovation from the laboratory to pilot scale.
The successful candidate will focus on the mechanistic modelling of carbon dioxide conversion and other related processes, working collaboratively with partner institutions across the consortium.
Applicants should hold (or be close to completing) a PhD in chemical engineering, chemistry, closely related discipline, or possess equivalent industrial experience.

This position is full time (35 hours per week) and is available for 1 year with the possibility of extension subject to funding and satisfactory performance.
