[Background of the recruitment and description of the project]

We welcome applicants who have strong expertise in either MRI-based functional neuroimaging or clinical neurophysiological methods, and who are motivated to integrate both approaches to advance research. We develop and apply combined cerebral, brainstem, and spinal cord fMRI together with clinical neurophysiology to elucidate the neural mechanisms of human motor and sensory control, and to translate these findings into neuromodulation-based therapeutic concepts. Experience publishing research based on analyses using MATLAB and/or Python is preferred.

As a Research Fellow in the Advanced Neuroimaging Research Department (IBIC), duties include:

1. Platform and method development using brain/brainstem/spinal cord fMRI combined with clinical neurophysiological techniques to clarify neural bases of human motor and sensory control.
2. Designing neuromodulation-based therapeutic approaches and promoting clinical research toward implementation.
3. Other duties as required.
