Research Laboratory Tech Assoc

Responsibilities

1. Cell culture assays and mitochondrial assays in islets and cell lines
2. Support of lab animal colony and colony database
3. Support of lab ordering system and product inventories
4. Completion of immunostaining and slide scanning
5. Ensure continuity with lab best practices
6. Ensure maintenance of lab stocks and upkeep
7. Maintain lab notebook
8. Support ongoing animal experiments

Qualifications

HS Diploma or Assoc Degree and 0-1 year experience required.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Limited (<2 years) lab experience required.

Basic lab technical expertise (PCR, gel electrophoresis, immunostaining assays) is required.

Knowledge related to diabetes is not required but highly encouraged.
