Job Description
- Provide support in developing, writing, and preparing research projects funded by local, national, and international bodies.
- Identify suitable funding channels based on ongoing research in inflammation, immunology, and cell death.
- Encourage researchers to explore new opportunities and guide them through the application process.
- Follow innovations in research on inflammatory diseases, cell death, and barrier dysfunction.
- Develop understanding of project call objectives.
- Manage approved projects by tracking progress and reporting to funding organizations, working with research teams.
- Collaborate with university stakeholders like RIVA, Centres of Excellence, and Technology Transfer Office.
- Extend international networks and identify new opportunities.
- Assist with coordination of international projects.
- Organize seminars and symposia on inflammation-related topics.
- Support PhD students and postdocs in obtaining funding and preparing defenses.
- Coordinate quarterly consortium meetings.
Profile
- Hold a doctoral degree (PhD) in life sciences.
- Have experience in writing research grants, preferably internationally.
- Possess good knowledge of life science research techniques.
- Be highly motivated and eager to engage in scientific projects.
- Be familiar with valorization of findings and maintain contact with valorization managers.
- Have experience in communicating research to a broad audience.
- Research qualities align with university policies.
- Work well in groups or independently.
- Have excellent written and spoken communication skills in English (and other languages as needed).
- Be proactive, communicative, focused on quality and collaboration.
- Excel in building relationships and providing direction.
What We Offer
- A 6-year contract as a BAP researcher manager (positive evaluation after first year).
- Planned start date: January 1st, 2026, or as soon as possible.
- Gross monthly salary based on the pay scale for Contract Research Staff.
- Benefits include ecocheques, Internet allowance, group insurance, income protection, and commuting allowances.
