Research Opportunities - Ophthalmology
Position Summary
The Walsh lab is looking for energetic applicants who want to work in a vibrant scientific environment to unlock the mysteries of the ocular immune system. We use imaging, molecular, and flow-cytometry based approaches to discover the impact of the immune system on functions of the eye in homeostasis and during pathology. Taking advantage of both basic science and translational approaches, the goal of the lab is to discover how the adaptive immune system interfaces with the eye, how this changes during common diseases of the eye, and how to leverage this information to more accurately diagnose and monitor ocular disease, understand the mechanisms driving disease progression, and discover new therapies to improve clinical care of uveitis and diseases of the eye.
