Research Position in Energy Materials at ACER
Job Description
- Conduct original research of international excellence.
- Design innovative and scalable synthesis process for Fluorine- and Phosphorus- based Cathode Materials
- Understanding of the electrochemical process upon electrochemical cycling on Lithium-ion Batteries
- Characterizations of developed Energy Materials
- Support equipment procurement and effectively coordinate with international suppliers.
- Prepare publications for leading journals and present findings at national and international conferences, workshops, and meetings.
- Communicate research developments, progress, and results to the research team.
- Identify areas for improvement within the research framework using integrated management approaches to enhance capacity building, maintain scientific rigor, and strengthen research studies.
- Support the development of research funding proposals, as needed.
- Assist in supervising M.Sc. and Ph.D. students, guiding their research work.
Candidate Profile
- A Ph.D. in Materials Science, Materials Chemistry, Electrochemical process, Chemical Processes, or a related engineering discipline.
- A strong background in electrochemical analysis of battery materials Proficiency in elemental and structural analysis using various techniques.
- Knowledge of advanced structural characterizations (highly valued).
- Expertise in electrochemistry (including cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge–discharge, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy), electrode preparation, and aging tests (long-term cycling stability).
- Familiarity with risk assessment and safe working procedures in a chemical laboratory.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in English.
- A proven track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary, multicultural team.
