About the JobManage, oversee, and work on experiments (80%)
- Plan and execute experiments (e.g., immunohistochemistry [IHC])
- Perform IHC procedures and analyze results
- Clean and maintain the research bench and common work areas
- Train undergraduate students in basic lab techniques (e.g., mini preps, PCR)
- Provide supervision and feedback during routine experiments
- Order reagents and other lab supplies
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of materials

Required Qualifications:
Education:
- BA/BS degree plus at least four years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant work experience to equal at least eight years.
Demonstrates experience with:
- Maintenance and transfection (DNA, mRNA, protein) of immortalized cell lines
- Protein/antibody staining and analysis (extra- and intracellular)
- Cell separation and isolation
- Virus titration and transduction
Demonstrates experience with:
- Molecular cloning
- Transformation
- DNA purification
- Digest verification
- PCR
- DNA extraction
Demonstrates experience with:
- R Studio
- Microsoft Office
- FileMaker Pro
- Bioinformatic analysis tools (NCBI, ExPASy, etc.)
- Qualtrics
- Intensely curious
- Highly attentive to detail
- Driven even through failure
- A love for organization and finding the simplest solutions to complex problems
Demonstrates experience with:
- Mouse breeding
- PCR
- Genotyping
Pay Range: $54,000 - $64,000/year; depending on education/qualifications/experience
Time Appointment Category: 100% Appointment
