Are you an experienced research project and events professional ready to play a key role in an award winning, collaborative team? Following the successful recent appointment of two Research Programme Administrators (RPAs), the Isaac Newton Institute for the Mathematical Sciences at the University of Cambridge is delighted to be recruiting a third RPA. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of INI's vibrant and internationally renowned programme of research events and residential research visits, supporting researchers from across the global mathematical sciences community.

The RPAs play a pivotal role in organising a range of events, providing end to end administrative support including:

  • Coordinating event logistics and communications;
  • Managing event publicity and marketing;
  • Overseeing budgets and financial reporting;
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for visiting researchers and attendees;
  • Liaising with convenors and internal teams (AV/IT, Accommodation, Finance, Communications).

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines;
  • Budget management experience;
  • Ability to learn new electronic management systems and processes;
  • A commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

In joining the INI, you'll not only be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team that supports world-class research, but you will also be part of a welcoming and inclusive workplace with excellent opportunities for professional development.

The majority of INI activities are based in the Isaac Newton Institute and Centre for Mathematical Sciences in Cambridge, but occasional travel to events hosted in other locations may be required.
