Research Project Coordinator - School of Public Health
Position Summary
A dynamic, out-going, detail-oriented project coordinator is needed to coordinate project functions for a program of research focused on environmental drivers of maternal and child health outcomes in the School of Public Health at WashU in St. Louis. This is a challenging and rewarding position.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides supporting administrative functions to the principal investigators; tracks and maintains an inventory of over 100,000 biospecimens; assists with grant applications and progress reports; assists with tracking of project expenses and purchases; helps to prepare and edit slides for scientific presentations and assists with manuscript editing and submission.
- Maintains and updates websites and social media accounts for the research program; develops participant newsletters and materials translating scientific research findings for lay audiences.
- Develops policy briefs and/or technical reports about scientific accomplishments to inform local, state and federal officials on study results.
- Opportunities also exist for independent data analysis and publishing in peer reviewed journals, if desired.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
