faculty innovation and entrepreneurship that make a difference in the world. Responsibilities Candidates will be responsible for the following: Validate the microfluidic leukemia chip model. Test CAR T cells on the microfluidic chip. Fabricate and assemble PDMS microfluidic devices for bone marrow-on-a-chip studies. Prepare and maintain endothelial, stromal, immune, and leukemia cell cultures. Load cells into fibrin hydrogels within the devices and maintain on-chip cultures. Validate the leukemia chip model by assessing cell viability, vascular network formation, and tissue organization. Evaluate CAR T-cell responses on the chip, including leukemia cell killing, T-cell activation, and migration. Perform immunofluorescence staining, confocal microscopy, and live-cell imaging. Measure cytokine secretion using ELISA and quantify cellular and tissue-level responses through image analysis. Maintain experimental records, analyze results, and prepare figures and research summaries for discussions with the supervisor. Salary range In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the salary for this position is $30 per hour. Expected start date and period of employment Expected start date is October 16, 2026 ,for appointments for up to three to six months, based on available funding and job performance. Part time appointments would require a work schedule of 23 hours per week. Candidates should have at least a Masters in computer science, mechanical engineering, data science, statics, and applied mathematics or a related field and at least 2 years of experience in computer science.
