Research Senior Technician
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is seeking to hire a Research Technician 3 to work under the direction of Dr. Donald S. Williamson. This position works closely with the project team to create artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms written in Python and analyze results for the Explainable Perspective Narrative prediction project. Attends meetings to discuss findings to plan future experiments and analyzes.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering or equivalent experience required; 4 years of experience programming in Python and developing machine learning algorithms for visual, language (i.e., text), and/or speech applications required with High School diploma or GED, 2 years of experience programming in Python and developing machine learning algorithms for visual, language (i.e., text), and/or speech applications required with Associate's Degree, or 0 years of experience programming in Python and developing machine learning algorithms for visual, language (i.e., text), and/or speech applications required with Bachelor's Degree.
Desired
Experience programming with Python preferred. Experience developing machine learning algorithms for visual, language (i.e., text), and/or speech applications.
The target hiring range for this job profile is $19.28 - $25.19 per hour, paid biweekly. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
