Job DescriptionThe Research Specialist A plans and conducts basic experiments to meet research project objectives, with close supervision. Assists in performing laboratory experiments and clinical studies for product or material formulation and development. Daily management of laboratory tool, documentations and processes to ensure regulatory compliance and timely completion of project/program deliverables. Closely collaborates with Senior Research Specialists and Principal Investigator (PI) on experimental/clinical work set ups in accordance to established protocols. The main responsibility of this position is to provide technical support for varied research projects within the Mach research group. This primarily includes performing in vitro binding assays and molecular biology techniques. Other functions may include protein production and cell culture maintenance, as well as routine lab organization tasks.
Research Specialist B
- All of above responsibilities, plus
- Develop and perform metabolite analysis for clinical and nonclinical studies for new PET radiotracers
- Establish, maintain and review metabolite data with other researchers.
- Assist in manuscript preparation
This position is contingent on funding.
Qualifications:Research Specialist A:
Bachelor's Degree with 0-1 year of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. The goal of this position is to provide technical support for ongoing studies in alpha synuclein. Under general supervision, perform a variety of molecular biology techniques, perform radiobinding assays, and maintain cell cultures. Also assist with lab organization by ordering supplies, maintaining lab stocks, keeping records, and maintaining lab instruments.
Research Specialist B: Bachelor of Science and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Job Location - City, State Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Department / School Perelman School of Medicine Pay Range $44,500.00 - $57,335.40 Annual Rate Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level.
