Research Specialist A
The Research Specialist will support the daily operations of the laboratory by overseeing mouse colony management, including breeding, genotyping, and record maintenance. The individual will be responsible for ordering and maintaining laboratory reagents and supplies to ensure smooth research operations. In addition, the Research Specialist will assist laboratory members with experimental procedures and data collection across ongoing projects. Beyond these shared responsibilities, the Research Specialist will design and conduct an independent research project under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, contributing to the lab's overall research objectives and scholarly output.
Job Responsibilities
- Mouse colony organization: tagging, tailing, genotyping using PCR
- Lab ordering and organization
- Assisting lab members with research protocols in the lab
- Independent research project(s)
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
This position is contingent upon grant funding.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
