The Research Assistant will support cutting-edge biomedical research by performing experiments with transgenic mouse models, cell cultures, including iPSCs and molecular and biochemical assays. The role includes in vivo studies, tissue analysis, and laboratory techniques such as immunohistochemistry, Western blot, and ELISA. The position also involves maintaining lab operations, documenting experiments, and contributing to a collaborative team environment, including participation in lab meetings and Center activities. This role provides hands-on experience across diverse experimental approaches.

Job Responsibilities

The Research Assistant will support cutting-edge biomedical research by performing experiments with transgenic mouse models, cell cultures, including iPSCs and molecular and biochemical assays. The role includes in vivo studies, tissue analysis, and laboratory techniques such as immunohistochemistry, Western blot, and ELISA. The position also involves maintaining lab operations, documenting experiments, and contributing to a collaborative team environment, including participation in lab meetings and Center activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 0-1 year of experience in Biology, Neuroscience, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Prior laboratory experience is preferred but not required. Proficiency with standard computer applications (e.g., Excel, Power Point, GraphPad, Adobe Photoshop and ImageJ analysis) is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational and multitasking skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Position contingent on funding.
