Research Specialist D
Job Description Summary
This is a position for Research Specialist, Level D, with a purpose to investigate the pathogenic mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders using mouse as a model organism. The primary function of this position includes functional characterization of genetically modified mice carrying disease-related mutations using cutting-edge molecular, cellular, genetic and genomic approaches, such as spatial transcriptomic, epigenomic profiling and bioinformatics. Other duties include management of mouse colonies, supporting research of multiple lab members, grant applications and manuscripts.
Job Responsibilities
- Mechanistic characterization of genetic models using transcriptome analysis
- Functional characterization of genetically modified mice using spatial transcriptomics and gene targeting
- Bioinformatic analysis of whole genome DNA methylation and expression data
- Conduct chromatin profiling and analysis epigenomics data
- Management of mouse colonies
- Supporting laboratory research of other lab members
- Assistance in preparing grant applications and manuscripts
- Participate in lab meetings, journal club; attend relevant seminars and conferences
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Master of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level.
