Job Summary

Research Technician position for the development of quantum Monte Carlo algorithms as directed by Professor Sandeep Sharma in the Division of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.

Essential Job Duties

  • Develop and maintain auxiliary field quantum Monte Carlo algorithm.
  • Use the algorithm for transition metal containing molecules.
  • Present findings and progress in group meetings.
  • Implement linear scaling algorithm.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS in chemistry, physics, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience developing quantum Monte Carlo algorithms.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Python programming experience.
  • GPU programming experience using JAX or PyTorch.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have published scientific articles in fields related to quantum Monte Carlo.

Hiring Range

$19.00 - $25.75 Per Hour
