Position Summary: The Schisler Lab at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Research Technician to join the lab. The successful candidate will support ongoing projects involving molecular biology, cell culture, and protein analysis. Key responsibilities include assisting with experimental design and execution, performing molecular biology techniques (PCR, cloning, gel electrophoresis, etc.), Mammalian cell culture and transfection, and Protein purification.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Management Preferences: Strong educational background in Biology, Biochemistry, or related field. Previous laboratory experience. Recent, hands-on experience with protein purification methods. Recent experience with recombinant protein expression and purification from E. coli. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
