Researcher in Psychology and Health Sciences
An exciting opportunity is available for a talented researcher to join the large and successful Psychology and Health Sciences departments at the University of Southampton.
You will join a large multidisciplinary research team who are evaluating a social prescribing intervention for people living with dementia. The work will involve conducting qualitative interviews and focus groups with people living with dementia and their carers, as well as healthcare practitioners to explore their views on the SPLENDID social prescribing intervention. This may involve gaining ethical approvals, recruiting participants, conducting qualitative work, analysing qualitative data, and writing it up for publication. The work would include working with PPI and working with a multidisciplinary team.
You will need experience of qualitative research and an in-depth understanding of implementation science or health psychology (or a closely related field). You will need to be able to work independently and efficiently in a research context, and will have excellent written English skills with meticulous attention to detail.
