About the Position

Join a leading structural virology lab focused on:

• Virus replication mechanisms
• Structural analysis of:
  • Human picornaviruses
  • Flaviviruses
  • Bacteriophages infecting pathogenic bacteria

The lab has access to state-of-the-art cryo-EM facilities and is supported by major funding, including an ERC Consolidator Grant—meaning strong research resources and independence.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Must-have

• PhD in:
  • Virology
  • Structural biology
  • Biochemistry
  • Molecular biology (or related field)
• Strong publication record
• Fluency in English

Preferred / Advantage

• Experience with:
  • Cryo-EM / cryo-ET / X-ray crystallography
  • Tissue culture
  • Genetic modification (bacteria/phages)
  • Programming skills
• Collaborative mindset and communication skills
