About the Position
Join a leading structural virology lab focused on:
- Virus replication mechanisms
- Structural analysis of:
- Human picornaviruses
- Flaviviruses
- Bacteriophages infecting pathogenic bacteria
The lab has access to state-of-the-art cryo-EM facilities and is supported by major funding, including an ERC Consolidator Grant—meaning strong research resources and independence.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Must-have
- PhD in:
- Virology
- Structural biology
- Biochemistry
- Molecular biology (or related field)
- Strong publication record
- Fluency in English
Preferred / Advantage
- Experience with:
- Cryo-EM / cryo-ET / X-ray crystallography
- Tissue culture
- Genetic modification (bacteria/phages)
- Programming skills
- Collaborative mindset and communication skills
