Resolution of October 2, 2026, of the Aragón Health Research Institute Foundation (IIS Aragón), announcing a position of Researcher N3 [Ref. RRHH-26/044]
Required requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering
- Hold a Master's degree in Biology and Clinical Cancer.
- Three months of experience in biomedical research tasks, oncology/cell biology laboratories or in the processing and histology of biological samples.
The main functions to be developed are:
- Scientific and technical support in the planning and execution of experimental trials for normothermic preservation of organs, including the preparation, conditioning and processing of associated biological samples.
- Characterization and evaluation of organs, tissues and biological samples obtained during normothermic preservation trials, using histological, immunohistochemical, molecular and cellular biology techniques, microscopy and image analysis.
- Analysis, recording and interpretation of the results obtained in the experimental trials, including data processing, sample traceability and the preparation of results and technical reports.

a) Education and Knowledge Relevant to the Position (0–20 points)
- Specific training in biomedicine, oncology, cancer biology, immunology, or related fields (0–10 points).
- Training in biomedical laboratory techniques and molecular/cell biology, including histology, immunohistochemistry, Western blot, ELISA, and/or other related techniques (0–5 points).
- Training in animal experimentation, laboratory safety and risk prevention, and/or handling of biological samples (0–5 points).
b) Professional Experience (0–40 points)
This criterion is intended to assess the extent to which the candidate has developed, throughout their professional career, activities related to those required for the position:
- Experience in sample processing, preparation of histological sections, staining, microscopy, and cell quantification (0–20 points).
- Experience in biomedical research, oncology, the tumor microenvironment, cell biology, or related fields (0–10 points).
- Experience in the analysis and interpretation of experimental and statistical data (0–5 points).
- Participation in and presentation of results at conferences, scientific meetings, workshops, and research center meetings (0–5 points).
c) Training and Skills for the Performance of the Position (0–25 points)
- Proficiency in computer-based environments: Microsoft Office, research information systems, and other specialized software environments, including data analysis and bioinformatics/statistical tools such as Excel, GraphPad, RStudio, or similar software (0–15 points).
- English language proficiency (0–10 points).
Specific Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or Biomedical Engineering.
- Hold a University Master’s degree in Cancer Biology and Clinical Oncology.
- At least three months of experience in biomedical research activities, oncology/cell biology laboratories, or the processing and histological analysis of biological samples.
