We are seeking a Scholarly Communications Librarian to join Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Academic), Academic Division.
QUT Library is seeking an experienced library professional to join our team as Scholarly Communications Librarian. This position focuses on advancing open access, managing the institutional repository and supporting faculty and researchers in publishing their work.

What you need to succeed
- Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field such as librarianship and extensive relevant experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of international and national developments and initiatives, including open access, open scholarship and emerging trends transforming research dissemination and scholarly publishing
- Demonstrated technical capability in supporting scholarly communication systems, including workflow design, system testing, APIs, metadata standards, metadata harvesting and basic systems administration to support a publications repository environment.
- Demonstrated high-level written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively consult, influence, collaborate and build strong working relationships with wide internal and external stakeholders.
- Evidence of innovative approaches to problem solving and commitment to continuous improvement in service management, supported by strong planning, organisational and project management skills.
- Demonstrated excellence in presenting and leading advanced educational services including workshops, webinars and seminars.
- Demonstrated ability to build a team environment and provide leadership and supervision to staff.
