Remuneration: $109,157 to $118,193 pa (HEW6) (inclusive of $92,239 to $99,875 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)

Location: Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available)

Open to: Current staff members of QUT who have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the fixed-term appointment. Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Scholarships Specialist to join Student Administration, People Services, Administrative Division.

The Scholarships Specialist has responsibility for the assessment and administration of centrally administered scholarships. In addition, the Scholarships Specialist supports students through the maintenance of systems and resources, answering enquiries and participating in marketing and recruitment events.

This role sits within the QUT Scholarships Team of the People Services Portfolio, Administrative Division. The People Services Portfolio provides a range of high quality services designed to enrich the staff and student experience at QUT. Services provided by the Portfolio span across the entire student and staff life cycle. In addition, the Portfolio provides advice and leadership to the university on a broad range of student and staff matters, including social justice and public policy.

What you need to succeed

  1. Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to a degree in a relevant area in conjunction with subsequent relevant experience.
  2. Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills that will enable effective communication with students and staff from diverse backgrounds.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding, or capacity to quickly acquire knowledge, of scholarship policies procedures and systems.
  4. Evidence of high-level organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  5. Demonstrated administrative skills, including high attention to detail, accurate record keeping and computer literacy skills.
