The role

The successful candidate will co-lead the Applied Data Science Team within the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration West (ARC West). The Team consist of 13 researchers (https://arc-w.nihr.ac.uk/research-and-implementation/research-teams/applied-data-science/) who conduct data science research and contribute to research within other ARC West teams. You will be managing the Team, develop and conduct your own research, and contribute to strategic developments within the wider ARC West.

What will you be doing?

The role will involve staff and budgetary management of the Team, as well as conducting, and leading on quantitative evaluation research within public health, primary and/or secondary care; particularly using routine healthcare datasets. The successful candidate will contribute to ARC West strategy and management meetings, will liaise with collaborators from local councils, Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG), Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW) and Gloucestershire Integrated Care Boards.

Salary: £57,696 - £70,919 per annum

Shift pattern: 35 hours per week/ 1 FTE
