School Social Work/PEL Track Program Coordinator
Position Purpose
The School Social Work PEL Track Coordinator (K-12) supports learning by overseeing the direction, implementation, coordination, and oversight of the School Social Work Track (K-12) in the MSW program and the Post-MSW Professional Educator License School Social Work (PEL:SSW) Endorsement. This includes managing curriculum, licensure processes, field placements, and faculty support to ensure compliance with ISBE standards and student success.

- Supports learning through performance of essential job functions and performing other duties and functions as necessary or as assigned, including voluntary participation in university committees, activities and events.
- Recruit and serve as advisor for all students in the School Social Work Track.
- Work with appropriate University offices to set deadlines and entrance criteria for the PostMSW PEL:SSW Endorsement Program.
- Review applications and assist students with internship placement.
- Manage all documentation and communications with the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE) and the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).
- Administer, manage, and coordinate the PEL:SSW Field Program.
- Serve as Licensure Officer to entitle students for ISBE endorsement; maintain licensure compliance.
- Hire, supervise, and mentor adjunct faculty teaching in the School Social Work track.
- Develop and update curriculum and manage master syllabi for school social work courses.
- Participate in departmental academic committees, student orientations, and MSW open house events.
- Attend annual licensure trainings and maintain communication with ISBE.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
Master's Degree from a CSWE accredited program in Social Work required. Current Professional Educator License with School Social Work Endorsement required.
Experience
Minimum of two years of experience in social work education or field coordination required. 5 years of experience is preferred. Familiarity with CSWE, ISBE and IBHE regulations and licensure processes preferred.
