About the Role
We are recruiting a Scientific Computing Research Infrastructure Engineer to complete a team of five who provide subject specific computing resource and expertise to research projects across the School of Physical and Chemical Sciences. We will be tasked with developing and maintaining research computing infrastructure across the School including the GridPP and School Linux clusters, as well as laboratory computers running many different analysis and experiment systems. You will also contribute to developing our new computer and data cloud facility.

About You
You will have a PhD (or are about to receive a PhD) in a STEM subject and be interested in a career at the interface of research and computing. You will be an inquisitive technical problem solver and a team player with good communication skills. You will be an experienced Linux user, with some programming skills. You will likely be familiar with working in research/laboratory settings.
