SUMMARY:
Provides responsive and high quality customer services to promote positive impressions to customers. Works efficiently as a team member, taking initiative to perform tasks, resolve problems and ensure successful outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES DEPENDING ON LOCATION:
- Greet and assist customers, providing information about products and the Amazon Just Walk Out technology.
- Ensure shelves are stocked, organized, and items are in the correct location.
- Ensure all menu items and pricing are accurate.
- May prepare, cook, or assemble food items, such as sandwiches and salads, and wrap or place orders in containers for carry-out.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues related to the Amazon Just Walk Out system.
- Open and serve all alcoholic beverages as required.
- Maintains clean work areas and tools/equipment.
- Provides quality customer service while ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintains positive working relationships with customers and coworkers.
- Observes all safety and Company rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
- Must comply with and ensure continued, consistent compliance with all company policies, and federal, state, and local laws/regulations including but not limited to: employment, safety, and health.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
The minimum requirement for applicants is a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) degree equivalent is required. Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
Food Handler Certificate from County of San Diego preferred.
For alcohol services purposes, 21 years or older is required and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to read, write and understand English. Requires the ability to follow verbal and written instructions, guidelines and objectives. Requires the ability to effectively communicate with customers and employees in a conversational and professional manner.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic math skills with the ability to count in ascending or descending order. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
REASONING ABILITY: Requires the ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out general written or oral instruction.
MANUAL DEXTERITY: Requires the ability to use a variety of equipment and utensils.
PHYSICAL COMMUNICATION: Must have the ability to talk/expressing and/or exchanging ideas and hear/perceiving sounds. Physical appearance presented to the public and internal employees must be professional.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to operate cash registers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand for prolonged hours and handle objects. Employees are occasionally required to stand, walk/move. Must be able to move, lift or carry heavy objects or materials up to 50 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND HAZARDS Work is regularly performed in a food production area where there is frequent exposure to food fumes or airborne particles. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to humid and hot conditions as well as cleaning chemicals. Employees will work outside with exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, allergens, and work temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate on non-event days and moderate to loud on event days.
