Major/Essential Functions
- Review TMA Purchase Requests and Specifications for accuracy and ensure that adequate funding account and work order information are provided and utilized. Ensure that proper account code information is entered when processing the TechBuy Requisition and all applicable attachments uploaded. Also ensures that once the TechBuy Purchase Order is issued, that the corresponding TMA Purchase Request is converted to a TMA Purchase Order
- Identify the appropriate procurement method for each TMA Purchase Request based on Specifications, Urgency and Cost. Maximize use of Buying Groups, Established University Contracts and Informal Bids while maintaining compliance with State of Texas Purchasing Regulations, TTU and Operations Division Policies. Issues purchases for goods and/or services through use of Standing Service Orders, Stand Alone Purchase Orders, and Credit Card Purchases as applicable.
- Utilize the provided Procurement Card efficiently and within state and Texas Tech University regulations and policy. Maintain up-to-date records and documents and submit expense reports when required by management and/or Procurement Services.
- Supervise 3 Team Members - Analyst II, 2 Lead Specialist/Buyers
- Review and process open encumbrances in relation to Operations Orgs
- Provide efficient, professional communication with internal/external customers and vendors. This includes presenting resolutions for product/service issues that may arise and communicates with vendor to resolve accounts payable or billing issues.
- Maintain the ability to provide additional assistance when necessary to support the division. This may include the comprehension and development of reports, processing construction and design contracts, emergency Procurement Card purchases
- Prepares reports as related to Procurement and Budget.
- Performs other duties required to support the mission of the Division and University.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field. Three (3) years related experience; OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal seven years.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Procurement. Techbuy/Jagger experience. Experience with Accounts Payable and Procurement.
Pay Range
$31.35 - $40.77 - $50.14
