Job Description Summary
You will be part of a nimble multidisciplinary team of computational geneticists, biomedical informatics, variant scientists, and bioinformaticians analyzing research and clinical specimens using high throughput whole genome sequencing. As part of a recent Penn-wide effort to expand in-house genomic capabilities, you have a unique opportunity to design and deploy new software infrastructure for the Center for Computational Biomedicine (CCB) at the Department of Genetics and Institute of Biomedical Informatics within Perelman School of Medicine at UPenn. A successful applicant will lead computational pipeline development and implementation within HIPPA compliant cloud compute, genome interpretation efforts, deployment of a variant sequencing to data aggregation reporting system within cloud platform.
Job Responsibilities
- Implementation of computational pipelines for genome interpretation.
- Development and deployment of genome analysis software in HIPPA-compliant cloud platform.
- Management of documentation and analytics to ensure pipeline reproducibility.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Contingent upon grant funding.
Pay Range
$83,500.00 - $100,000.00 Annual Rate. Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level. Internal organization and peer data at Penn are also considered.
