Incumbent will teach information literacy courses and workshops in multimodal formats, create instructional materials, participate in campus outreach activities and programming.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
The University Libraries seek a dynamic, innovative, and collaborative individual to join our dedicated team of Academic Engagement faculty. Reporting to the Head of Academic Engagement, the incumbent will be responsible for delivering high-quality library instruction, outreach, reference, and research consultation services in support of the University’s teaching, learning, and research missions.
This position plays a key role in fostering meaningful partnerships with faculty, students, and campus stakeholders to advance information literacy and student success. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the University’s academic and professional communities through research and scholarship, participation in faculty governance, and engagement in service and professional development activities in accordance with University standards for promotion and tenure.
The successful candidate will:
- Create and deliver innovative instruction services in multimodal environments.
- Stay current on emerging technologies that impact instruction such as generative AI.
- Explore and implement opportunities for library integration into the curriculum, such as information literacy learning tutorials, research guides, curriculum development, and consultations through credit-bearing and other courses and sessions.
- Apply inclusive pedagogical approaches to enhance student-centered learning environments.
- Incorporate a commitment to the value of diverse populations and perspectives in teaching and programming.
- Market library resources and services through workshops, programming, collections, and partnerships.
- Develop strong relationships with academic programs and faculty on all campuses to align library resources and services with research and learning goals.
- Contributes to the field through research, presentations, and scholarship.
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant Master’s or advanced degree (foreign equivalent or higher) with a combination of education and experience commensurate with the requirements of this position.
- Instruction or training experience in a library or related environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience implementing information literacy standards as well as knowledge of related AI and emerging literacies.
- Evidence of public-facing collaborations and outreach activities.

This is a tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position... Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible. **Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
