Senior Assistant (post-doc)

All candidates applying for the position must meet the general criteria prescribed by the Labour Act ("Official Gazette", No. 93/14, 127/17, 98/19, 151/22, 46/23, and 64/23).

Candidates for the competition, in addition to the general conditions set out in the Labour Act, must also meet the conditions prescribed in Article 39, paragraph 7 of the Higher Education and Scientific Activity Act ("Official Gazette", No. 119/22 and 110/26) and Article 29 of the Regulations on the implementation of the election/re-election procedure for scientific-teaching, artistic-teaching, teaching, associate and professional positions at the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, consolidated text. The aforementioned acts are published on the website www.gfos.unios.hr.

Candidates for the competition for the associate position of Senior Assistant are required to submit documentation according to Form No. 5, which is published on the Faculty's website www.gfos.unios.hr.

The Decision on Additional Criteria for Selection for the Vacant Associate Position of Senior Assistant at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture in Osijek (link: https://www.gfos.unios.hr/fakultet/akti-fakulteta-odluke) applies to candidates applying for the position. Candidates are required to substantiate their claims regarding the fulfillment of these additional criteria by providing credible documentation.

All candidates of the Competition who meet the formal criteria of the competition and who have submitted all mandatory documentation with their application for the competition must proceed to the II. level of candidate selection, which includes checking motivation and aptitude for scientific-research work in the area of Technical Sciences, field Fundamental technical science, which is necessarily conducted by an interview in front of an expert committee, and may also include a written test. Candidates will be notified of the place and time of the interview in front of an expert committee by e-mail. Candidates who do not proceed to the II. level of selection will be considered to have withdrawn their application for the competition and will not be considered candidates for the competition.

Persons of both genders may apply to the call for applications under equal conditions. Only an individual who has submitted a timely and complete application and who meets the formal requirements set out in the call for applications shall be considered a candidate.

A complete application is defined as one that contains all the information and attachments prescribed by this call for the relevant position - including the documentation specified in Form No. 5 and which is signed by hand. Untimely and incomplete applications will not be considered.

Persons who submit untimely and incomplete applications and who do not meet the formal requirements of the competition will not be considered candidates and will not be notified of the results of the competition.

For candidates who are foreign citizens, it is necessary to provide proof of knowledge of the Croatian language in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (C2).

Before starting employment, it is necessary to have a foreign educational qualification recognized.

Candidates, who, on the basis of special regulations – the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families ("Official Gazette" No. 121/17, 98/19, 84/21 and 156/23), Art. 48 of the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War ("Official Gazette" No. 84/21), Art. 48.f of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids ("Official Gazette" No. 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 2/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03, 148/13 and 98/19), Art. 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities ("Official Gazette" No. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20), invoke the right to priority in employment, are obliged to invoke this right in their application for the competition and to attach all evidence required by special regulations for the exercise of this right. The aforementioned candidates shall have priority in employment in relation to other applicants, only under equal conditions.

For candidates who, in their application, invoke the right to preferential employment under the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families ("Official Gazette" No. 121/17, 98/19 and 84/21) and the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War ("Official Gazette" No. 84/21), the list of evidence required to exercise this right is available at the link of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans https://branitelji.gov.hr/zaposljavanje-843/843.

Candidates who invoke the right to priority in employment pursuant to Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities ("Official Gazette" No. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20) are required to invoke this right in their application for the competition and to submit all evidence of meeting the required criteria, as well as proof of disability.

Applications with evidence of meeting the competition criteria must be submitted within 30 days from the date of publication of the competition in electronic form in PDF format to the address pisarnica@gfos.hr with the indication: „Prijava na natječaj pod točkom 2" or "Application to the tender under point 2".

All candidates of the Competition will be informed about the results of the Competition within fifteen (15) days from the date of its completion. The Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture Osijek reserves the right to inform all registered candidates via the e-mail address specified in the application.

All candidates are required to submit a completed and signed Consent Form with their application for the competition, in which the candidate gives their consent for all their data contained in the competition documentation to be collected and processed for the purpose of implementing the competition in accordance with the regulations governing the protection of personal data, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation). The Consent Form is published on the website of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture Osijek (link: http://www.gfos.unios.hr/obrasci). Without a properly completed and signed Consent Form with the competition application, the application will be considered incomplete and will be rejected.
