Job Overview
Play a key leadership role in the Office of the University Registrar by overseeing critical registration, records management, and compliance functions. This position combined operational expertise with strategic responsibilities, focusing on enhancing the efficiency, accuracy, and integrity of academic record-keeping and student services. Act as a senior resource to staff, students, and faculty while ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements. Lead process improvement initiatives, support the implementation of innovative technologies to optimize office operations, and enhance the student experience. This position has the opportunity to work a remote, hybrid schedule.
Essential Functions
- Oversee the management of day-to-day registration and record-management operations within the Office of the University Registrar
- Provide strategic leadership in one or more specialized areas, serving as a senior resource for operational and policy matters.
- Interpret, apply, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and university regulations related to registration, records, and student privacy.
- Recommend and implement advanced policies, procedures, and best practices to improve operational efficiency and ensure regulatory adherence.
- Provide strategic oversight for data management practices, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, privacy, and security of student academic records.
- Represent the Office of the University Registrar on university committees and cross-functional teams, driving collaborative initiatives and aligning office operations with university-wide goals.
- Foster partnerships with academic and non-academic departments to support institutional objectives and enhance student services.
- Provide expert consultation and support to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and external stakeholders on complex issues.
- Lead the preparation and delivery of comprehensive reports for the office, university leadership, and external agencies.
- Develop and implement professional development programs to enhance team performance and support institutional excellence.
- Initiate and lead strategic projects and initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness, improve student outcomes, and align with institutional goals.
- Regularly assess and update office workflows, technologies, and policies to maintain best practices.
- Provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).

Required Education
- Bachelor's Degree
- Nine (9) years of relevant education, experience and/or other specialized training can fulfill minimum education and experience requirements
Required Experience
- Five (5) years of experience in Higher Education, including lead or supervisory experience.
- Familiarity with student information systems and records management
Additional Qualifications Considered
- Demonstrated expertise in information systems and records management
- Previous PeopleSoft experience, specifically in the realm of class ordering and/or registration
- Previous experience with classroom scheduling
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and organizational abilities

Salary/Hourly Pay Rate Information: up to $68,000 based on candidate's qualifications and experience
