Senior Course Administrator

About the role

You will work as part of a team of five administrators, responsible for administering a portfolio of courses covering subjects including Business and Management, Technology and AI, and Vaccinology (which may be subject to change from time-to-time). You will provide support for the student life cycle on these courses from end-to-end, including dealing with applications and admissions, on-course administration and handling post-course enquiries. Whilst you will generally focus on administration for your own portfolio of courses, you will be required to be flexible in supporting other colleagues in the team and across the Department, as and when required.

During the weeks in which the CPD courses run, you will need to adjust your working week and work outside of normal office hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on the type of course. Such hours will be paid as time off in lieu or in line with the University’s policy on overtime.

This is a full-time position, available on a permanent contract.

About you

You will have significant experience of working in an office, with excellent administrative and event/course organisation, skills, accuracy, and attention to detail, and an ability to work collaboratively and flexibly within a team. You will have sound judgement and an ability to adhere to established procedures and protocols, which will allow you to work with minimal supervision, while seeking guidance as required. Discretion and a professional and helpful manner in dealing with a wide range of people over the telephone, via email or in person are essential. You must be competent in a range of Microsoft Office applications, and be willing to use technology to the full to reduce administrative processes. You should have a very good standard of numeracy and experience of working with data. A strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal skills are also essential.
