consultation, and project management services to the University through direct involvement and delegated direction of permanent and temporary staff via outside consultants.
Five years of leadership experience managing professional staff.
Five years of work experience using the principles and methods relating to construction project management including contractual agreements, construction methodologies, construction techniques, scheduling, and QA procedures.
10 years progressively responsible and varied experience in completion of building construction projects at the superintendent level or above.
High school or equivalent GED level of education.
Extensive working knowledge of PC software applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, AUTOCAD, and generic database programs like MS Access.
Bachelor's degree in construction, project management, engineering, architecture or in a related field with 3 years progressively responsible and varied experience in managing the completion of building construction projects.
Professional registration as an engineer or architect.
Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications and progress schedules in the form of critical path tasks.
Knowledge of construction design process from concept to completion.
Knowledge of construction building codes and practices.
CCM Certification
Experience managing construction projects in a public, low bid, multi-prime setting.
Experience working in a related field in Higher Education in a similar setting.
