Senior Lecturer in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Management

De Montfort University Dubai is seeking a qualified and experienced academic to join the Faculty of Business and Law as a Senior Lecturer in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Management. This full-time academic role is ideal for candidates passionate about high-quality teaching, curriculum development, research, and student engagement within a UK higher education framework.

As a Senior Lecturer, you will support the growth of DMU Dubai’s business programmes through teaching and leadership in subject areas such as innovation, strategic management, leadership, entrepreneurship, and sustainability. You will also contribute to programme development, module leadership, and research activities aligned with international and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate business management programmes.
• Lead on the development of new modules and programmes in the areas of innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
• Design and deliver engaging content across areas such as: Innovation & Technology Management, Strategic Leadership and Change Management, Sustainable Business and Ethical Leadership, Business Strategy and Business Simulations, Entrepreneurship and Contemporary Issues in Management.
• Support and mentor students through academic advising and supervision.
• Lead or contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance, and academic administration.
• Engage in scholarly activities and publish research in refereed academic journals.
• Foster industry engagement through partnerships and guest lectures.
• Support faculty events, student recruitment, and open days.
• Uphold DMU’s values by fostering inclusive, student-centered learning environments.

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications

• PhD (or equivalent experience) in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Management, or a related field (UK degrees preferred) – Required
• Postgraduate degree in a related field – Required
• Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching or a teaching qualification (e.g., HEA Fellowship) – Essential / Preferred
• All qualifications must be attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) or be eligible for attestation.

Experience

• Ideally minimum 3–6 years of full-time teaching experience in higher education, preferably in the UK system – Required
• Proven experience teaching subjects related to innovation, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and business strategy – Required
• Strong record in curriculum design, module leadership, and programme management – Required
• Evidence of a research portfolio with publication potential or track record in international journals – Required
• Experience in supporting part-time or executive learners is desirable.
• Ability to contribute to industry engagement and funding activities – Desirable Skills & Attributes
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills – Required
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within diverse academic teams – Required
• Commitment to student success and academic excellence – Required
• Flexible and responsive to the demands of the academic calendar, including open days and industry events – Required
