About the Role

The Senior Lecturer in Medical Education (Evaluation and Quality Assurance Lead) provides academic leadership in teaching excellence, evaluation and quality assurance across medical and/or medical bioscience programs within the College of Medicine and Public Health. This teaching‑specialist role has a strong focus on accreditation, curriculum quality, and continuous improvement, while making a significant contribution to educational leadership, student experience and service to the College and University.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading evaluation, quality assurance and accreditation activities, including preparation of accreditation submissions, responses to conditions, and embedding standards across courses.
  • Designing, delivering and coordinating high‑quality teaching using contemporary, student‑centred approaches and innovative educational technologies.
  • Providing leadership in curriculum development, review and renewal to ensure academic quality, relevance and alignment with best practice.
  • Contributing to service and leadership activities within the College and University, including mentoring educators, committee participation and engagement with professional and external stakeholders.

About You

You are an experienced medical or health education professional with a strong track record in evaluation, quality assurance and accreditation within higher education. You bring academic credibility, educational leadership and a commitment to continuous improvement, with the ability to translate accreditation standards and pedagogical theory into high‑quality, student‑centred teaching practice. Collaborative and influential, you are motivated to lead educational excellence and support colleagues and students to succeed.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in evaluation, quality assurance and accreditation of health, allied health or medical programs, including the preparation of accreditation documentation and operationalisation of standards.
  • Proven excellence in tertiary‑level teaching and curriculum design, informed by contemporary educational theory and innovative, student‑centred approaches.
  • Strong capability in leading and supporting teaching teams, building educator capability, and contributing to curriculum review, renewal and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, academic colleagues, professional staff and external stakeholders.
