Help shape UniSQ’s new Pharmacy program!

2026 marks an exciting period of growth for UniSQ as we continue to build and refine our new Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) program, scheduled to welcome its first cohort in 2027. We are seeking a passionate and forward-thinking Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy to play a pivotal role in developing, delivering, and shaping this new program.

This is a unique opportunity to join UniSQ at a foundational moment by contributing to a program designed to embed contemporary practice, interdisciplinary learning, and strong industry engagement across the broader UniSQ Health suite.

Who you are

You are an educator who brings energy, insight, and leadership to curriculum development and scholarly teaching. You enjoy developing programs and designing courses that transform student learning and are motivated by interdisciplinary collaboration and embedding best-practice teaching approaches.

What you'll do

In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the educational direction of UniSQ’s Pharmacy program by:

  • Designing and developing pharmacy-specific courses for the program’s 2027 launch, including curriculum, assessment, learning resources, and digital delivery approaches.
  • Planning and overseeing the development of new pharmacy-specific courses scheduled for 2028 and beyond, ensuring alignment with pedagogical and professional requirements.
  • Contributing to the Australian Pharmacy Council’s accreditation processes, including preparing documentation, coordinating evidence, and supporting ongoing compliance. Delivering evidence-informed teaching that leverages contemporary digital technologies and engages students in future-focused learning.
  • Collaborating with external stakeholders to leverage placement opportunities.
  • Providing academic leadership within the discipline, supporting colleagues, contributing to a positive culture, and engaging in meaningful service to the profession and community.

What will help you succeed

  • A doctoral qualification in Pharmacy or a related discipline, or other equivalent qualifications and experience subject to the norms of the Pharmacy discipline.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a pharmacist.
  • Demonstrated expertise in pharmacy education, including curriculum design, assessment development, and delivery of student-centred learning.
  • Experience applying scholarly teaching practices, reflective pedagogy, and evidence-based approaches.
  • High-level communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to build productive academic and industry relationships.

Why join UniSQ

  • A supportive and inclusive teaching and research environment.
  • A chance to work alongside experts in the field and make a difference.
  • Generous superannuation.
  • Flexible working arrangements to maintain positive work/life balance.
