Offer Description
The University of Szczecin is looking for a Senior Lecturer for didactics only at the Institute of Physical Culture Sciences, the Faculty of Health and Physical Education). The competition is open to persons who meet the conditions specified in Art. 113 and art. 116 of the Act of July 20, 2018 Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2024, item 1571, as amended) and in the Statute of the University of Szczecin and meet the criteria specified in the competition announcement. The competition is the first stage of the recruitment procedure and its positive outcome is the basis for further proceedings.

Skills/Qualifications
Candidates entering the competition should submit the following documents:
- a statement of compliance with the requirements set out in Art. 113 of the Act of July 20, 2018 Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of 2024, item 1571, as amended) (download form);
- application for employment addressed to the Rector of the University of Szczecin;
- CV;
- personal questionnaire for a job applicant (download form);
- a document (or its certified copy) confirming the acquisition of a professional master's degree. In the case of documents drawn up in a language other than Polish, also a certified translation of the document into Polish and a certificate confirming the equivalence of the diploma with the Polish professional title;
- information on teaching-related, and organizational achievements;
- proven experience in coaching basketball teams;
- confirmed completion of a certified License A coaching course organized by the Polish Basketball Association;
- a document confirming the knowledge of the Polish language to the extent that allows teaching classes (compulsory criterion in the case of a foreign candidate);
- a declaration that the University of Szczecin will be the primary place of employment (download form);
- the candidate's consent to the processing of personal data related to the recruitment by the University of Szczecin, RODO (download form).
- Information from the National Criminal Register regarding the lack of a criminal record for offenses specified in Chapters XIX and XXV of the Penal Code, Articles 189a and 207 of the Penal Code (Journal of Laws 2024, item 17, as amended), as well as in the Act of July 29, 2005, on counteracting drug addiction (Journal of Laws 2023, item 1939, as amended), or for equivalent prohibited acts defined by foreign law – arising from Article 21 of the Act of May 13, 2016, on counteracting threats related to sexual offenses and the protection of minors (Journal of Laws 2024, item 560).
In the case of a foreign candidate:
- Information regarding the lack of a criminal record from the criminal register of the candidate's country of citizenship, obtained for the purposes of professional or voluntary activities involving contact with children;
- A declaration of the country or countries where the candidate has resided in the last 20 years, other than the Republic of Poland, along with information from the criminal registers of those countries (form available at: https://bip.usz.edu.pl/zarzadzenie/20384/zarzadzenie-nr-57-2024, attachment 1a);

The University of Szczecin reserves the right to close the competition without selecting a candidate.
