- Remuneration: Total remuneration range: $172,761 to $193,229 pa (HEW10) (inclusive of $145,985 to $163,281 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Senior People and Workplace Relations Consultant to join Human Resources, People Services, Administrative Division.
The Senior People and Workplace Relations Consultant provides a specialised advisory service on complex employee relations cases, as well as the interpretation of policies and industrial relations. Supporting the Associate Director, People and Workplace Relations, the position provides leadership on workplace relations strategy, including union relations. The position will also support the Associate Director in advocacy and representing the University in highly complex matters where required. The Senior People and Workplace Relations Consultant coaches and guides other staff in the team to maximise consistency and outcomes and ensures that the university is compliant with industrial relations legislation.

What you need to succeed
- Education, training and/or experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications in Human Resource (HR) Management, Industrial Relations (IR) or a relevant field together with extensive relevant experience.
- Proven experience in senior HR or IR roles and identifying and utilising matrix approaches to team collaboration.
- Detailed knowledge and application of contemporary HR practice and industrial relations frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering high-level strategic advice, including building capacity of clients by providing coaching and guidance on matters of performance, employment law, employee relations and other related human resources issues.
- Demonstrated experience in problem solving and conflict resolution in addressing complex workplace issues.
- High level communication skills, including demonstrated presentation, negotiation and influencing skills in communicating with diverse audiences, including unions
