  • Remuneration: $135,483 to $153,562 pa (HEW8) (inclusive of $114,485 to $129,761 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
  • Location: Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available)
  • Open to: Current staff members of QUT who have ongoing full-time work rights in Australia. In support of our strategic priority of Indigenous Australian success, Aboriginal Australians and Torres Strait Islander people who are not QUT staff are also eligible and encouraged to apply.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Senior Project Officer, Merchandise to join Campus Services, Administrative Division.

The Senior Project Officer, Merchandise is responsible for driving strategies to generate revenue and provide high level customer-focused service to students, staff and visitors. The position will formulate and deliver a range of merchandise and retail marketing strategies to optimise commercial return and promote QUT within the community. A key component of the role will be developing and maintaining highly productive and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers and clients.

What you need to succeed

  1. Education, training and experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications, or progress towards postgraduate qualifications, in marketing and visual communication with demonstrated relevant experience in brand management, creative, publishing and advertising projects. 
  2. Proven experience managing multiple creative projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, including the delivery of key projects to a high-quality standard. 
  3. Demonstrated skills and experience in print/digital production management including expertise in working closely with design/creative teams, and an understanding of the different specifications and processes for print and digital design production. 
  4. Highly developed collaboration skills in working with multiple teams on projects, including facilitating relationships between teams, planning and assigning resources, developing schedules and resolving open issues that prevent progress. 
  5. Highly developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in negotiation, presentation and liaising with internal and external stakeholders at a senior level, including a proven ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with key client stakeholders. 
  6. Demonstrated experience in management of budgets and delivery of projects within financial parameters.
